Sparkling wine made in the traditional method from Spain, Conca Del Riu Anoia.
Textura de Pedra comes from the estate “Vinya Més Alta” as its name says, located at the highest point of the “Turó del Serral”, a vineyard of stony soils with large number of marine fossils, good drainage and low-yield. With this new project, the aim is to recover natives black varieties for the production of sparkling wines. For the elaboration of the Textura de Pedra have been used three native black varieties; Xarel.lo Vermell, Bastard Negre and Sumoll, for this reason they have named it as “Blanc de Negres”.
Produced using biodynamic Viticulture procedures and manual harvested. The first fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature. Assemblage, second fermentation in bottle with a long aging on the lees, a minimum period of 42 months. No added dosage.
Powerful, spice-accented red berry, orange zest, buttered toast and floral scents are underscored by an intense mineral nuance. Broad, chewy and focused on the palate, offering deeply concentrated citrus fruit, red berry and spicy ginger flavors. Hints of smoky lees and chamomile build on the back half. Powerful yet lithe in character, displaying superb finishing thrust, energy and mineral-driven persistence.
